Charlotte’s Incommunicado

JohnDMacDonald

The western world, my dear McGee, is being turned into one vast cruise ship, and there is a shortage of cruise directors.”

Meyer from a Deadly Shade of Gold by John D. MacDonald

Sometimes it just does my soul good to put aside my cellphone, shut down the computer and just enjoy the world around me. That’s what I’ve been doing for the last three days and I have enjoyed it so much I’m going to keep doing it for a few more.

But before I go again, I thought I would share with you one of my favorite Jimmy Buffett songs, for as Jimmy so often does, he just has this way of capturing my mood in a song.

May you all have a great start to your week! :-)

  1. Enjoy your break. :-) I find that if I am not thinking about what to post or write about, my day goes a little easier. I did not have a creative input, I did not have a stress tantrum either. :-)

    • Thanks Imelda! I did enjoy my break. I was away from most electronics and I was VERY productive. Felt good to unplug, so good that I decided I need to take unplugged breaks a little more frequently, just get away from being connected to everything at all times. The irony is we often think being connected is freeing but actually, getting away from all that connectedness is. Glad to be back though. It’s like vacation, it’s good to get away and then it’s good to be back home! So glad as always that you stopped by. Have a great day! :-)
