Caption inside the card reads: What is WRONG with these people?
I have loved this little sheep since I first saw him eight years ago. I bought the card with no intention of ever sending it to anyone. No way. Instead he is mine, and when I get into a mood like I have been in this week, when I look around and wonder if anyone else is seeing stuff the way I am seeing it, I think of this little guy.
One look at him and he puts it back in perspective for me.
And he helps me laugh that necessary laugh.
And I remember other people feel this way too. Or at least one other person, the one who designed the card, and I am comforted someone else feels the way I do. I feel less crazy. Or at least I feel less alone feeling crazy.
So, when the word for this week’s challenge was Unique, I thought about my little sheep, and the feeling of unique.

I love it too – and the way he stands out from the crowd.
Many smiles coming your way!
Hi,
Thumbs up!
My Dad said to me once “What a sad world this would be if everyone were the same”. Even if we sometimes feel like that sheep get because of others,, you can only be the best You.
Cheers !
Why thank you and thumbs up right back atcha! You have a smart dad and he raised a smart daughter who listened.
So glad you stopped by and shared your thoughts.
Funny how meaningful an image can be, isn’t it? I don’t know how many cards I bought like that for one reason or another and I STILL have them!
I have a collection of cards, but this one, it’s special. And you’re right, one image says so many different things and different things to different people. Different, I see a pattern here, the different-unique connection!
(laughing) beautiful!
(smiling) yes!

I think there are times when we would just like to be one of the crowd, and times where wearing that crazy bow tie and knowing we’re different is what makes our lives worth living.
Great card. I’m all for self-gifting in the card department
Ah, yes, striking the right blend/standing out balance. You know, I already have plans for my next life, yup, I think about these very important things. I mean really, you gotta make reservations ahead of time to get the best seat. Okay, here it is… I want to be a drummer in a rock band! Yeah! Totally cool, huh. And part of why I want to be the drummer is because I will get the fame and the money and all the junk that goes with it. But, okay, here’s the beauty in the plan, even though I will get to perform in front of tens of thousands of adoring fans, because of course my band is going to be way successful, I get to remain relatively anonymous because who remembers what the drummer looks like? No one. See. Cool! Much like I have done this life, I like to be in the back keeping the beat!
I’m impressed. I think you have designed the perfect plan. As long as you don’t do a Phil Collins sort of thing, you will strike exactly the balance needed
No Phil Collins plans. Don’t ever want the camera on me except during my awesome drum solo, but then it will just be of my hands and the whirly flourish they create. I have put some serious thought into you this you see!
I can see that you have, and I may have to rethink my reincarnation plans now

it’s what ever makes you smile that day that’s very grand. we had one of those days… (on my blog) we had a grand day! I love the little sheep!!!
They should make a little sheep balloon to go with all the other balloons you saw yesterday! He would be the comic relief!
Brilliant! Love the little sheep, and the message he gives…
Thanks! I think he reminds us all to embrace the unique within us!
Love it!
Thanks! He is cute, isn’t he.
Aww, so adorable. It looks like he’s really thinking hard, and is about to say something smart.
Of that, I have absolutely no doubt!!! Thanks for the comment and the smile!
Awwwww so cute!
He is, isn’t he! -)
I love that it leaves the impression that Monsieur Sheep has a laundry list of grievances.
And perhaps the first may be that he is tired of people who can’t think for themselves being called sheep! Thanks for the laugh Jeni.
Poor sheep, nobody appreciates his humor. He is brave, however, to defy the common and usual.
I think we can all relate to him at some point in our lives!
