Bee-autiful!
Did you see the tiny little bee on the purple flower??? I can sit and watch them for hours. Okay, maybe that might sound a little weird. Confession time though, I hate carpenter bees. Those little f-ckers keep drilling holes in the railing of our wood deck!!!
Yes, definitely saw it. Gorgeous! If you ever care to contribute a bee shot to my Bees Alive site with location information and an acknowledgement, let me know. Sadly, I can’t travel as much as I’d like, so I miss out on a whole variety of bee and flower species, and love to rely upon contributors.
I don’t meet a lot of beewatchers – not as popular as birdwatching, I suppose. I’ve found myself in many interesting situations attracting attention as I’m watching bees at work. Believe me, I can lose plenty of time watching too. I have a lot of respect for the pollinators. Bad news about the carpenter bees. I hope they are pollinating something nearby, because it certainly isn’t your deck…
